The term honky tonk is slang and often used to refer to a small bar. Generally it has a country theme to it and features live music as well. Blues Brothers DVD
The Blues Brothers is a cult movie, a musical comedy that blends classic soul music, car chases and charismatic characters. There are many imitators but there's nothing to beat the real thing. Fans can collect Blues Brothers DVD versions and there are plenty to choose from.
The film was released in 1980 and directed by John Landis. The two main characters were played by Dan Aykroyd as Elwood Blues and the late John Belushi as his brother Jake. The plot begins with the release of Jake from prison and his attempts to reform his old band to raise money to save the Catholic home for orphans, where he and Elwood were raised. The brother's characters were expanded from Saturday Night Live sketches. Discount Office Furniture
When I first thought about starting up my own discount office furniture store, it felt more like a pipe dream than a realistic business proposal. It seemed like there were literally dozens of places around where I could get big office furniture discounts without even looking. I could go to Target, the mall, the thrift stores, and some major office furniture store chains as well. How would I ever convince people to buy discount office furniture from me?
When the answer came to me, it was so obvious that I wondered why I had never thought of it before. I would specialize in used office furniture while also selling people new stuff if they wanted to buy it. I would give people the opportunity to use office furniture that would normally be way out of their price range by selling stuff that, although no longer new, still looked pretty good. That would give my discount office furniture store a niche – a special something that no one else seemed to have.
Of course, my discount office furniture store was not the only place where you could find office furniture used. There was the Goodwill, the Salvation Army, and a half a dozen other thrift stores, not to mention a few open air flea markets. But none of those places tended to have very good wares. You never really knew what you were getting when you went to a thrift store to find discount office furniture. Every once in a while, you would end up with an absolute treasure. Most of the time, however, there would not be anything there worth a second glance. Thrift stores, you see, do not specialize in discount office furniture, and it shows.
This is what would give my discount office furniture outlet an edge over those thrift stores. Rather than taking whatever people were willing to donate, I actually searched for my used furniture. I only sold the best. None of the discount office furniture that I had on display had holes in it, and the visible wear and tear on most of the items was light. Many were bought from rent to own places, and had been taken good care of by customers anxious to not incur fees for damaging the discount furnishings. All in all, that business was a great idea. It has taken a while to get going, but now it seems to be working out for me pretty well.

Many People Would Like To Publish a Book
Im sure you are one of the many people who would like to publish a book. It is a dream many of us have and until recently, the dream seemed out of many of our grasps. There are many options for someone who wants to publish a book, but it is a good idea to do a little homework before contacting a publishing company with your manuscript.
I have found that the Internet is a valuable resource and as a writer I find that it is a great way to find writing jobs. One writing assignment involved writing a manuscript for a publishing company. The book that I wrote is part of a series of books that address questions about specific careers. The assignment was ideal for me because I wanted to publish a book about being a therapist who works with autistic children. My topic fit the publisher’s needs and I went to work.
I completed the first draft of the entire manuscript in a record two-month period of time. I worked on the book for about six hours every day, often staying up way past midnight to get my thoughts organized into the text. I found that we would publish a book on my topic, but not in the near future. I completed the manuscript about six months ago and I just now got the contract from the publisher. I still have to read and sign the contract to get things moving.
I am pleased that I will have the opportunity to publish a book in the upcoming year, but I still have a way to go before the book hits the shelves. The editor is going to go over the manuscript on a page by page basis. I imagine that this will take a great deal of time. That is not a problem for me. I am a diligent writer and my desire to publish a book is a driving force that will keep me on my toes.
I have looked into other ways to publish a book as well but I find some of the options a little confusion. Lulu is a company that will publish a book for an author through its print on demand program. I am not sure if this is a viable option for me. I am not one for vanity publishing and Lulu seems to have some of the qualities of a vanity publisher.
For right now, I’m sticking to working with a publisher on assignment. If you want to publish a book, you may want to use a company like Lulu, but if you want to publish a book that will be read, consider working with an editor.
I have found that the Internet is a valuable resource and as a writer I find that it is a great way to find writing jobs. One writing assignment involved writing a manuscript for a publishing company. The book that I wrote is part of a series of books that address questions about specific careers. The assignment was ideal for me because I wanted to publish a book about being a therapist who works with autistic children. My topic fit the publisher’s needs and I went to work.
I completed the first draft of the entire manuscript in a record two-month period of time. I worked on the book for about six hours every day, often staying up way past midnight to get my thoughts organized into the text. I found that we would publish a book on my topic, but not in the near future. I completed the manuscript about six months ago and I just now got the contract from the publisher. I still have to read and sign the contract to get things moving.
I am pleased that I will have the opportunity to publish a book in the upcoming year, but I still have a way to go before the book hits the shelves. The editor is going to go over the manuscript on a page by page basis. I imagine that this will take a great deal of time. That is not a problem for me. I am a diligent writer and my desire to publish a book is a driving force that will keep me on my toes.
